Tulloch Verdelho 2012

Another one of the neighbours, just a mile along De Beyers Road from The Vintry and nestled among vines at the foot of the Brokenback Mountain Range is the stunning Tulloch Cellar Door a must visit destination in the Hunter Valley. Combining contemporary design with historical charm it is a great opportunity to experience the true heritage of the Hunter Valley.

Tulloch Verdelho

The grape variety Verdelho has a long history in the Hunter Valley however its light is often shadowed by the region’s best-known whites, Semillon and Chardonnay. Tulloch Verdelho is a benchmark in Australia of the variety, and the 2012 has everything you would expect from this ‘easy drinking’ wine, it has lifted floral notes accompanied by tropical fruit aromas on the nose with a refreshing crisp palate.

Pale Straw with a green hue the nose is honeydew melon and citrus blossom. Lemon/citrus blossom characters with ripe melons and fig giving a luscious long palate with a spicy fruit finish.  Drink over 3 years.
