Opera in the Vineyards 2018

This year their much-loved annual celebration of food, wine and opera will take on a brand-new look, and be staged for the very first time indoors in a magnificent barrel room at the award winning Hope Estate.

Relax in the intimate, comfortable surrounds, stunningly lined with wine barrels. And, thrill to the superior sound and breathtaking acoustics to make the experience unforgettable.

Enjoy the wonderful pre-concert activities where you can indulge in famous regional wine, chocolate and cheese tastings, in a specifically designed food and wine village. Grab a glass of wine or bubbles and wander around the lawns indulge your senses, and enjoy the beautiful views across the valley.

Let your spirits soar as international opera stars Greta Bradman, Milijana Nikolic, Rosario La Spina and Jose Carbo lead you on a journey through some of the most beautiful arias and duets ever written. Even the opera-shy will be familiar with these unforgettable masterpieces, brought to vibrant life indoors in the comfort of a great barrel room.

Picnic in the Vines

Saddler’s Creek is perfectly located in the picturesque Southern Region of the Parish of Pokolbin. The vineyard lies at the foothills of the Brokenback Range where iconic vineyards, still bearing fruit, date back to 1860’s. On Saturday 27 October 2018, Saddler’s Creek will host their annual Picnic in the Vines. Bring your picnic blankets and indulge in a gourmet picnic fare accompanied by Saddler’s Creek’s award winning wines.

Spring is bud burst in the Hunter Valley, where the vineyards come back to life with fields of green after laying dormant all Winter. Relax and unwind with afternoon of live music, food and wine.

Wine Selectors Barbecue Revolution Showcase

Join Wine Selectors as they head to the vines for our sell-out Barbeque Revolution series with Everdure by Heston Blumenthal and Thomas Wines. This tasting showcase will take place on the lawn at the Thomas Wines cellar door at the luxurious Estate Tuscany, Pokolbin on Saturday 13 October 2018.

As you take in the charming surrounds, executive chef for the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal range, Bart Beek, will prepare five barbeque dishes that showcase fundamental barbequing techniques and demonstrate how this amazing barbeque range will revolutionise your approach to BBQ’ing and outdoor entertaining. You’ll then enjoy each dish with an expertly paired glass of exquisite Thomas Wines.

Broke Village Markets

Held on the first Sunday of each month from 8am to 1pm. With over fifteen stalls and growing, this little market is a must-see. Set in the beautiful, sheltered park in the main street of Broke, the market is a relaxing way to add to all that Broke Fordwich has for visitors and locals. A perfect addition to your wine tour experience.

From a stall providing a BBQ to gourmet food products. Even the kids get a look-in with a great range of toys from hand made timber toys to kites and games. A selection of jams and pickles as well as a presentation of gourmet food products adds to the diversity of this great little market. With a state of the art set of swings and climbing frames in the market, the kids can have a ball while mum and dad take their time bargaining for bargains!

Established on the beautiful Hunter River in 1828, Dalwood Estate is regarded as the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine. Dalwood Markets at Dalwood Estate is held monthly on the second Sunday.
